Chapter 5

“There’s no way Kyle won’t have told them.” Clark stood, soaking up the suns rays.

Bruce nodded. “SO they all know.”

Clark nodded. “I suppose so.” He glanced over at his lover. “I thought you’d be more upset, you are the one who wanted to keep it a secret.”

Bruce shrugged. “It was inevitable.”

Clark put his head on one side, “so why did you?”

Bruce sighed. “I’m not an easy man to be a relationship with. Trust me; I can give you a list. I…” he shook his head. “I don’t know how to make this work, and once people know it tends to fall apart.”

Clark sighed. He’d been convinced he and Lois would be together forever, yet here they were.

“I don’t think anyone knows how this works, Bruce. It’s just trial and error.”

Bruce muttered “more error in my case.” He looked up at him. “Seriously, most of my ex’s try to kill me at some point.”

Clark shook his head. “Not happening, B.” he said, leaning in for a kiss. “We’ve wasted enough time.”

He looked down at him.

“Ready to face the horde?”

He watched as a strange smile spread across Bruce’s face. “Not just yet.”
