Title: Finding Out
Author: Cat13145
Rating: PG
Characters: Kon/Tim, hints of Bruce/Clark, Jason Todd/Marie (OC), Titans, Roy/Dick, Roy/Dick/Babs
Summary: Batman finds out about Tim and Kon
Warnings: Jason's mouth, Bruce being an idiot.
A/N: This is set in my Renegade verse, but all you need to know about it is that Jason is alive and Dick isn't. I'm planning a presequel (where Kon tries to seduce Tim, and a sequel (where Bruce tries to be good about Tim and Kon (i.e. does The Talk)), if people are interested and I can find a beta.
“You do realise you can’t hide here forever?” Marie asked, setting the tray down on the coffee table. “Eventually you are going to have to face them.”
Tim shuffled his feet, before exchanging a look at Kon.
“Do we have to?”
“Yes.” Marie replied. “If for no other reason, our guest room only has a single bed, and I really, really, really don’t recommend molesting Tim with Jason in the next room.”
“Not molesting if I want it.” Tim muttered.
“True, but with Jason I feel the point would be academic and we have kryptonite around.” she slowly poured the tea, handing cups to her guests, before taking a swig herself. “Now, Jason’s gone to speak to Bruce, to try and make him see reason.”
Tim groaned. “That just means they’ll be yelling at each other and the situation will end up much worse.”
“Probably.” Marie agreed. “But Bruce and Jason usually only end up arguing when Bruce doesn’t want to admit that Jason has a point.”
*****
“For God’s Sake!” Jason ran his fingers through his hair. “I can’t believe you’re acting like this, again!”
“Kon is_”
“This has nothing to do with Kon, or even with Tim being gay. This is about Batman!”
And there he was again, one eyebrow slightly raised. “I fail to see what Batman has to do with Robin’s activities.”
“Oh Really?” Jason demanded. “Let’s see shall we? Marie, Kory, Arsenal, the Titans, The Little League, Am I the only one seeing a pattern here?”
At Batman’s raised eye brow, he continued. “Bruce, you don’t want us having anything to do with anyone you don’t’ control. It doesn’t matter how we know them, you don’t like them.”
At least Bruce didn’t try to deny it. “You did not walk in on them.”
“Yeah, but I have done.” Jason snarled. “And, Yeah, I’ll be honest my first reaction was pretty much yours. But they’re serious about each other. And in terms of Titans for Tim to be dating, Kon’s probably the best,”
He shoved thoughts of Tim with Steph (Good that would be a freaky batman worshipping combination), or worse, Tim and Cassie (Bats and Amazons (even if not technically) shouldn’t date. Donna and Dick were proof enough of that. Or Donna and Jason) to the back of his mind.
“Bottom line is, deal with it, or loss Robin.”
It was virtually the same argument he’d used when he and Marie were getting serious. And to do them both a justice a truce had been struck, or at least while Jason was in the room.
He watched Bruce lick his lips. Evidently he also remembered the argument.
“Kon El is a clone.”
“So what?” Jason demanded. “It’s hardly worse than Dick doing Babs and Roy at the same time.”
“Dick and Roy?”
Jason fought the desire to groan and roll his eyes. Trust the world’s greatest detective to be the only one who didn’t know about those two.

“You know we have these things called “doors”” Marie said, as Jason jimmied the window opens. “I know they’re something of a novel concept to your family, but I would appreciate it if you used them before dark.”
Jason threw her a look.
“Get in costume, Drake; it’s nearly time for patrol.”
As Tim bounded out, Marie moved to stand near Jason.
“I take it the talk with Bruce did not go well.” She said softly. Jason groaned.
“I accidently told him about Dick and Roy.”
Marie frowned. “I figured it out from those old Titans pictures, how could he not...?”
Tim chose that moment to appear in his costume and Marie sighed.
“World’s greatest detective huh?”
Jason nodded. “Babs coming around.” Marie’s nod, he continued. “Then we’ll be off.” He leant into Marie’s neck and whispered into it, “Don’t kill him.”

“We’re going to run into Bruce.” Tim said, as they dropped on to a roof top near crime alley.
“Nah.” Jason said, automatically scanning the horizon. All seemed quiet, but that never lasted in Gotham. “He had some...JLA business to deal with.”
And he hoped Roy would forgive him for accidently outing him to the batman. He was fairly certain he would when he heard the circumstances.
“How’s your dad handling this?” he asked.
Tim snorted. “Better than Bruce.”
“That’s not hard.”
“True.” Tim sighed. “He hugged me, said I’m still his son and he still loves me and asked to meet Kon.”
“Huh.” Jason said. “People really do that?”
Given Jason’s examples of parenting, Tim supposed he shouldn’t be so surprise at Jason’s confusion. Jason shook himself.
“Here.” He dug into a pouch on Nightwing’s belt, thrusting a little box at him. “It’s Kryptonite.”
Tim’s face was horror struck. “I expected this from Bruce, but Jason you know Kon...”
Jason interrupted. “It’s in case.”
“In case of what?”
“In case of Luthor.” Jason’s eyes were fixed on some point in the distance. “You heard of Joey Wilson?”
“Slade’s kid.”
“You heard how he died?”
“Deathstroke killed him.”
“I meant before that.” Tim looked at Jason. Nightwing rarely spoke of his early experiences with the Titan’s when Dick had still been alive, and the files were all sealed. From the little he knew, from Wally and Roy mostly, Jason’s early Titan experiences had been mostly negative.
“Joey was processed by spirits. Tried to do the same to the Titans.” He swallowed. “The spirits, when they were in control of Joey, they used his body to do...stuff to Dick.” There was only one definition of stuff in Jason’s vocabulary. “He and Joey, they used to date.” Jason finished.
He swallowed, before turning to look at Tim. “That shit with Joey, it contributed to the things between Dick and Bruce. Might have got him killed.” Jason’s blue eyes bored into Tim. “Couldn’t bear it if that was you, baby bird.”
Slowly, Tim reached out, taking the box from Jason’s hands. “I’m not going to use it.”
Jason grinned. “Wouldn’t expect you to, Shrimp.”
He let off a line. Tim secured the little box, before following him.
“Oh,” Jason yelled back over his shoulder. “Make sure you use protection!”
“We’re both clean!”
“Maybe,” Jason agreed, landing cat like on a roof top. “But Alfred is too young to be a great grandfather.”
*****
“Guess I’d better be heading off too.” Kon muttered. He liked Marie, but there was no denying she was a bat at points. Well, except by Marie.
“You’ll stay a while.”
“I need to go.”
“Can’t. Glass is super’s proof.” Marie shrugged as she sat down. “Bat paranoia.”
“Let me go.” Marie smiled at him. “Not yet.”
She rose and opened the door. Kon barely had time to register Barbara Gordon wheeling herself in, before he was on the floor and a knife was at his throat.
“I know you’re not very old, so I’m going to keep this simple.” Marie hissed, leaning in over Cassandra’s shoulder. “Hurt him and we’ll make what happened to Krypton look like an unpleasant accident.”
“And I,” Babs added, leaning down over him. “Know at least 70 places to hide a body that neither batman nor superman would ever look.” The freckled face was merely centimetres from his own. “Caprice?”
He nodded. He could see Huntress standing in the doorway with an arrow notched to her bow. “Yeah. Caprice.”
*****
“Bats and Supers.” Roy observed, looking out across the night. “What is it?”
“Same thing with Speedy’s and Robins, or has Connor actually outgrow his crush yet?” Wally asked, equally admiring the watchtower view. Roy had to smile. Wally actually making a joke about this crush.
“Depends. How’s Impulse doing?”
Wally’s mouth was open, but suddenly his face contorted into a mask of horror.
“Green Arrow!” Batman’s voice was cold as ice beside him. “May I have a word?”
******
“Well maybe if you were around once in a while, you might know!” Kon didn’t mean to yell, but having just been let go by the Birds of Prey, to have Clark up in his face was not something he needed.
“Uncle Jonathon and Aunt Martha knew, so did Marie and Jason. If they’re O.K. with it, I don’t see why you and Batman are being such asses!”
“I’m not saying I have a problem with it.” Clark said, forcing himself to stay calm. “I’m simply asking if you’re sure. Bats can be very intense, and very passionate, but it’s not normally directed at their lovers.”
Kon’s eyebrows drew together.
“I’m not you.” He said, breathing deeply, his face a couple of inches from Clark’s. “And I won’t let Tim become Bruce.”
*****
“Tim” Impulse was jumping off the wall, as he slipped into Tower.”Heywhatshappening? IseverythingokwithyouandBatman? AreyouandKonstilldating? IsJasoncoming?”
“Yes, he is, and stop speed talking. None of us can understand you.” Marie said, coming behind Tim, dumping a box on the table. “Batman is still...adjusting to the situation, but I trust the rest of us are adjusted.” Her eyes glared around room. Tim was fairly certain that Cassie and Rose were still in shock about the whole situation, but there was no way either of them was going to challenge Marie. Or Jason, who was standing in the doorway. Not doing anything, not saying anything just looking.
And for the first time since Batman had walked in on him and Kon kissing in the bat cave, Tim genuinely believed it would be O.K. especially as Kon’s hand slipped into his.
Yeah, this would be O.K.
